HORSE RIDING LESSONS AND LIVERY

Here at SCEC and Tilery Equestrian Centre, we offer a comprehensive and progressive riding system for all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced rider. Lessons are available for riders aged from 4 years.

SCEC and Tilery are British Horse Society Approved Riding Schools and are licensed by the local authorities.

Both Centres have ideal facilities, with indoor riding arenas, which allow us to offer lessons seven days a week, with last lessons normally finishing at 9pm. So riding can become an ideal after work activity, where you can keep fit and fresh in your mind. We welcome all prospective riders to come along and watch lessons and get a feel for the Centre, we can then advise you of best times according to age and ability.

We offer horse riding for children and family groups, novices and experienced riders with and without their own horses, corporate groups, private parties, birthday parties and individual, private tuition. We run day courses at weekends and during school holidays which consist of two, hour long riding sessions, lectures plus hands on stable management. Hacking is also available after assessment and weather permitting.

As BHS Approved Riding Schools, we also encourage riders young and old, to work towards BHS examinations, beginning with Progressive Riding Tests Level 1 for novice riders and working towards career examinations, BHS Stages for more experienced riders. We regularly have guest Instructors, including BHS Examiners, who can explain the system from the inside!
